Canadian Support of Rural African Initiatives (CSRAI) enables communities and families in East Africa to address the impacts of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. We are a non-governmental organization and registered charity that is 100% volunteer-run. CSRAI welcomes Yeleka Barrett home from her six month internship in Tanzania! The internship was made possible by the Canadian International Development Agency and the Interagency Coalition on AIDS and Development. Yeleka spent time with each of CSRAI's partners, supporting HIV/AIDS prevention activities, rural projects, income generation for women's groups and IT development. CSRAI held its Annual General Meeting on July 27, 2009. We have updated and revised CSRAI’s constitution to better reflect our current activities, and our Project Committee has developed new guidelines for our partners’ requests for funding. The CSRAI Board of Directors would like to thank you for your continuing support this past year. Without our donors, partners, volunteers and friends, CSRAI would be unable to carry out our mission to enable communities and families to address the HIV/AIDS pandemic. If you are interested in becoming involved in CSRAI we are always looking for new volunteers, for more information visit: Become Involved.
